COVID-19 Response

Dear SHPC clients and Family ,

At shadow Hills Pet Clinic ,we are doing everything we can to stay available to our patients and clients to keep our community and pets healthy.As the corona virus (COVID-19) continues to spread globally,we are taking appropriate precautions to address the outbreak by following guidelines from CDC. Our current approach and response to COVID-19 are outlined below.

PREVENTION :

Shadow Hills Pet Clinic team members are doing our part to prevent the spread by practicing good hygiene at work and at home:

*Regularly washing hands for at least 20 seconds throughout the day , and after every patient,with warm water and soap.This is done more frequently than normal.

*Wearing masks and gloves.

*Avoiding making close contact with others, social distancing.No hand shakes.

*We are frequently cleaning and disinfecting our clinic and commonly used surfaces ( counter tops,keyboards,doorknobs,faucets,and stethoscopes.

***WHAT SHOULD YOU DO TO PREPARE FOR YOUR PET'S VISIT TO THE CLINIC?

*If you have any symptoms of acute respiratory illness , PLEASE REFRAIN FROM VISITING OR ENTERING  OUR CLINIC. Please follow CDC guidelines.

*Identify person who is willing and able to transport your pet to our office.

*We request that you call our clinic (818-767-3904) to make an appointment as we are scheduling limited  appointments at a given time to avoid close proximity.

*Once you arrive ,we request you to remain  in your car and call us  to let us know that your are here.

* Our staff can get the initial information regarding the reason for your pet's visit and health concerns on phone. One of our staff member will then retrieve your pet from your car , and doctor will perform a physical exam in the clinic. The doctor will call you at that time to discuss any findings and the plan moving forward.Once the exam and treatment is complete , we will process payment over the phone. Our staff member will bring your pet back to your car for you along with medications / instructions and receipt.

* We will continue to fill prescriptions , and ask you to plan ahead when needing refills.Please allow 2-3 days advanced notice for refill needs.

* To protect the health of you and our team , please consider a TELEMEDICINE visit/consult to talk to one of our staff veterinarian from home. Call us to learn more at 818-767-3904 during our business hours that have changed temporarily as mentioned below.

Given this is a rapidly developing situation; we will continue to monitor developments and updates our course of action based on CDC guidelines.We know it's a stressful time, but please believe that your pets are safe and that you are safe around your pets , as your pet is not at risk for being infected with COVID-19  .
